Troubleshooting

LED blinks twice every second

Turn the radio off and then back on. If it is flashing two quick blinks every second, then your batteries are too low.

LED blinks three times every second

Turn the radio off and then back on. If it is flashing three quick blinks every second, then your EEPROM is corrupt. This is very unlikely, so we want to talk to you! Please get in touch with support (chris@thepublicrad.io) so we can swap out your radio.

No LED activity

Turn the radio off and then back on. If you see nothing, then the batteries are dead, not installed, or the battery tabs are bent.

To bend the battery tabs back into place so that they have a secure connection to the battery, simply squeeze the tabs together as show in the picture below.

Squeeze all 4 battery tabs to make a tighter connection to the batteries.

LED is “breathing”

When you first turn on the radio, the LED should “breath” 5 times in a row. If the LED is “breathing”, then the volume is too low. Turn it to eleven!
